| Our Outlet OfficesFamily Support Services (FSS) has three office outlets in Taree, Forster and Gloucester. We work to assist families to cope with the challenges of family life so as to prevent family breakdown. Family Support Services works with a solution focused and strength based approach in assisting parents and individuals with the following:Parenting skillsEmotional support Referral Advocacy Sharing information Skill development Court support Accommodation issuesRelationship issuesSupport with issues of domestic violence, including anger managementParenting groups at child care facilities
Services are flexible to meet the individual needs identified by the family and are provided by: Visits to families in their own homes Families / individuals visiting at our offices Attendance at group programs Or a combination of all the above

YOUNG MUM'S GROUP
Young Mum's under 25 years are invited to participate in a friendly and
productive group for mums expecting or with children. The group meets
at the Uniting Church Conference Centre in Taree next to the Manning Mall.
Lunch is provided, child-minding is provided and two workers assist mums
with any issues or problems they may be experiencing.
This is the place to come for Fun, Friendship, Support and Knowledge!
WOMEN'S GROUPIf you are feeling isolated, unsupported, out of touch with other women or would like to learn new skills to assist you in feeling more empowered to deal with personal issues, come along and join us! This group provides structured but flexible weekly sessions to allow each member to participate freely.
Women's groups are run in Taree and Gloucester each week.
PARENTING GROUPS & OTHER GROUP PROGRAMS
We offer ongoing groups every term throughout the year, presented by our
fully trained group leaders. These groups are as follows:

Positive Parenting - a program for mums,
dads, and carers of young children

Parenting Children with ADHD - a friendly
and informal presentation to assist the management of difficult
behaviour and much more.

1-2-3 Magic and More 1-2-3 Magic - Both
are simple discipline programs that really work! one is for stop
behaviours and the other for start behaviours. After attending
this program you will have your children all figured out and know just
how to manage them.

Play Power - is a fun and relaxed program
for parents and carers of children 0 to 3 years. You will learn
how to make the most of everyday moments, plus learning and bonding
activities.

Hey Dad! which is a parenting program
especially for men to explore the challenges of fathering.

Good for Kids - Good for Life - A healthy
living for families presentation that covers what is healthy eating and
how it can be achieved, plus lots more interesting stuff!

Toddlers! Terrible or Terrific? -
This program offers ideas and support for families with toddlers.
Learn what is "normal" behaviour and how to shape the behaviour you want
within the realms of your child's developmental stages.
We are also open to hearing about your needs in respect to group
programs that you would like to participate in. Just call the
coordinator and let her know what you would like presented and we will do
our best to accommodate your needs.
