The service is funded under the Home and Community Care (HACC)
Program, a joint Commonwealth and State Government initiative administered
by the NSW Department of Ageing Disability and Home Care (DADHC).
The program provides a range of social support services for
frail older people, younger people with disabilities and their carers
to enhance quality of life and promote independence while living
in their own homes.
Service provision extends across the Hastings Local Government
Area including Port Macquarie, Camden Haven and Wauchope areas.
The volunteer based service provides a range of services including:

Social Support – community access with volunteers for shopping
and errands.

Domestic Assistance – a volunteer to do shopping, errands
and bill paying on behalf of consumers.

Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes

Subsidised Firewood Service
-
Easy Care Gardening
-
Home and Hospital visits
-
Small Group Outings
-
Supported Transport to attend medical and other appointments.

Advocacy and support is available on request.

Information about and referral to other relevant community
services.
